It all started on a whim, and it still feels that way around here: out of the blue, everyday. Watching Sombrio materialize from concept to reality over these past few seasons has been enlightening.
Today, what stands out most is seeing riders enjoying the trails with Sombrio on their backs. And I’m humbled and admire the athletes who’ve embraced this positive force—to ride, build and evolve our nomadic pursuit in the mountains, the streets, and everywhere in between. I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to travel the globe riding and competing and meeting people who are passionate about where our sport is headed. Experiencing their commitment is the core of what this company is all about. My only wish is to bring this cross pollination back to our community and present it to the world; with each trip home I realize we’re only at the tip of the heart of mountain biking.
As Sombrio grows from the smallest company in the bike industry into something with an ever-growing voice, I want to document the times I share on the road, the ideas that drive my spirit, and the people who inspire my thoughts into the products we create. It is the people who embrace Sombrio—from its founders to our team of riders past and present —that have made this dream come true. But I owe it to all to you, the riders, for continuing to make Sombrio something you can believe in.
